This website tells the history of the trail of tears with a summary of it's events and background. The trail of tears was when the Cherokee people from North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia were forcefully removed from their homeland during 1838-1839. They traveled by foot, horse, wagon, or steamboat to Oklahoma.
